Happ's VSE Combined Driving Schooling Event will follow the
current rules of the American Driving Society except where noted in
the prizelist. These additional rules apply.
- Provide your own mandatory helmets.
Protective vests are also recommended.
- Medical armbands are required at all times for anyone on a
cart or carriage. ADS armbands are available for purchase with
entry and at the show office.
- There will be no referees, however, there may be spotters
along the route to check for break of pace and deviation from the
course.
- No schooling is allowed on the Dressage, Marathon and Obstacle
courses during the event, except as posted, under penalty of
elimination. Schooling is allowed after competition is completed,
only by permission of organizer.
- Prior to any driving, all competitors must turn in a
Pre-Competition checklist for each vehicle and harness to be used.
Competitors are responsible for being certain their harness(es)
and vehicle(s) are in good repair and equine fit.
- A competitor may drive and/or navigate for more than one entry
if scheduling permits.
- Junior competitors 11-13 years old may
drive single VSE alone with parental permission and prearranged
Happ's approval. Junior competitors not yet 11 years old must make prior
arrangements with Happ's to compete.
- Dogs must be tied or on a leash and under control at all
times. No dogs are allowed in the barn or office. A $25 fine will
be imposed for each infraction.
