Liberty: The horse is turned loose in the arena to music. When the music stops, the
handler has one minute to catch the horse, or is eliminated. The handler may have an assistant,
but the assistant may not touch the horse. Excessive whip use is strongly discouraged. |

Jumper: The horse negotiates a course of jumps. All knockdowns, refusals,
and errors of course are noted and points counted. Tie for first goes into a jump-off that may
be timed. Fault points are as follows: Knockdowns - 4 points; First Refusal - 3 points;
Second Refusal - 3 points; Third Refusal = Elimination; Error of Course = Elimination; Circling
before a jump is considered a Refusal. |

Open Roadster: Horse is to be shown at jog, road gait--speed as a "race
horse". Minor breaks of gait not penalized. Cart with stirrups is required. Silks or "colors"
are optional. |

Cones: The horse is driven through a course of numbered "obstacles" made
of pairs of cones with balls on top. Course is timed. "Double Clean" rounds (no time or
course penalties) are placed in order of time in which they completed the course with least
time being first place.
Exceeding the time allowed - 0.5 penalties per commenced second
Dislodging one or both balls of an obstacle - 3 penalties
Taking an obstacle out of sequence - Elimination
First Disobedience - 5 penalty points
Second Disobedience - 10 penalty points
Third Disobedience - Elimination
Failure to pass through the Start or Finish Lines - Elimination |

Green Horse Pleasure Driving: Horses drive both ways of the ring
at walk, collected or pleasure trot and working trot; stand in line, and back. |

Open Pleasure Driving: |

Versatility: The horse is to be shown as Pleasure Driving, then stripped
and shown at halter, then over two fences as a Hunter. Grooms enter the ring. Whistle blows
at two minutes and grooms leave with cart and all gear. Horses not stripped in two minutes
are disqualified. |

Hunter: The horse negotiates a course of jumps and is judged on manners
and way of going. Handler may not carry a whip. Refusals are penalized heavily, with third
refusal being an Elimination. All horses are trotted past the judge for soundness. Horse
may trot or canter, but changes of gait will be noted. Error of course is Elimination. |

Novice Driver Pleasure Driving: |

Open Country Pleasure Driving: Horses drive both ways of the ring at
walk, collected or pleasure trot and working trot; stand in line, and back. Horses have
flatter knees and lower head carriage. |

Discipline Driving: The horse is shown both ways of the arena at walk, trot
and bigger trot. At the discretion of the judge, may be asked to halt on the rail, back, and
turn in place, in any order. |

Halter Stallions-No Youth or Novice Handlers: |

Open Single Pleasure Driving: Horses drive both ways of the ring at walk,
collected or pleasure trot and working trot; stand in line, and back. Horses are more
animated with higher knees and higher head. |
