Recognizing people's desire to get their equine(s) away from home and exposed to new situations and surroundings, we open our ranch for schooling.

You have the opportunity to work on crossing the creek that runs through our property, ride or drive various areas of the ranch including permanent driving hazards and ridden cross-country fences, and perhaps to even expose them to possible "monsters" such as cattle and other animals, as well as tractors and other types of equipment. You will need to be aware of the cut-off dates after which you can no longer school on the courses prior to an event you will be participating in.

Remember, for "open schooling" opportunities you can pick any date that meets your needs. We also offer "scheduled schooling days" for groups. These schooling days offer the additional advantages of multiple horses being on the grounds, use of regulation dressage rings, Cones/Obstacle course, flagged Marathon Hazards, etc. Check our calendar for dates we have scheduled. You may also schedule a group schooling or camp of your own.

2010 approved events and schooling cut-off dates:

  • The May Horse Trial ~ April 18
  • The June Combined Driving Event ~ May 16
  • The September Driving Trials-Twice! ~ August 8

If you wish to school after the cut-off date for a particular event, you may be able to, but you will then be required to enter and compete at that event as "HC"
