Welcome to Happ's. We
are developing a recreational facility aimed at wholesome,
family-type activities. A large part of our plans center around
various equine events. In addition, we host activities for other
types of animals, a number of different motorized vehicle sports,
and offer our facilities for weddings, receptions, etc. Our site
(both the web and the physical ranch) is growing and changing
constantly.
Our ranch is located in southwestern Washington State about half
way between Seattle, WA and Portland, OR. US Hwy 12 cuts through the
ranch, giving us great access-wonderful if you are pulling a
trailer! We host events and clinics for a variety of equine disciplines. Our
facilities are also available for schooling or for lease to those wishing to host their own events, clinics, camps, etc. We have held events for
llamas, hounds and other animals, as well as various activities for
groups of people. Future plans include expansion into more
disciplines and continued emphasis on learning.
Our home was built in 1889 by Ken's grandfather on the first
property homesteaded in this valley. We are the third generation to
live here and hope to pass the ranch on to the next
generations-there are two more at this point. Hopefully Happ's will
be in the family for many years to come.
Our "project" as neighbors call it, is slowly coming about. We
have gotten a couple small buildings done and are nearing completion
of our training barn. Once it is finished, we will concentrate on
building our recreational vehicle park and then attack "the big
building" and its accompanying stall barns.
