Happ's Combined Driving Schooling Weekends are not approved events. They are intended to provide opportunities to school in
preparation for the summer competition season. Saturday is a Schooling Day and Sunday will be judged, following the current
rules of the American Driving Society except where noted. The following additional rules apply.
- Neat, casual clothing will be considered appropriate. Hat, apron and gloves required for Dressage.
- Provide your own mandatory helmets for Marathon.
Protective vests are also recommended.
- Medical armbands are required at all times for anyone riding
on a cart or carriage. ADS armbands are available for purchase
with entry and at the show office.
- There will be no referees, however, there may be spotters
along the route.
- Pre-Competition checklist must be turned in by all participants.
Participants are responsible for being certain their harness(es)
and vehicle(s) are in good repair and equine(s) fit.
- Subject to scheduling, participants may drive more than one entry and
navigators may navigate for more than one turnout.
- Dogs must be tied in camp, or on a leash and under control at
all times. No dogs are allowed in the barn or office. A fine of
$25 will be imposed for each infraction.
