Starting in 2002, we offered the Happ's Challenge as our way of saying thank you to our
competitors and to recognize quality performances. It is now an annual award given for the
best cumulative score at each level (Training, Preliminary and Intermediate) based on the
entry's [same equine(s) and driver] performance at our Combined Driving Event in June, our
Pleasure Driving Show in August, and Saturday of either our Driving Trials-Twice! or our
VSE Combined Driving Schooling Event.
For purposes of the Happ's Challenge only, competitors entering the Draft Driving Trial
portion of the CDE will have their marathon scores adjusted (They will be given a score for
Sections A and D that is the average of the scores of all other competitors at their level.)
to place them in their overall level.
Competitors' scores will be calculated simply by using the turnout's placing within the:
level at the CDE
and level at DT-T! or VSE Event
with the lowest score (First place = 1 point, second place = 2 points, etc.)
being the winner. Ties will be broken based on the Cones
scores of the Driving Trials-Twice! or VSE Combined Driving Schooling Event. The awards
will be handed out at the Driving Trials-Twice! and at the
VSE Combined Driving Schooling Event in September.
The entry must compete at the same level at both the CDE and the DT-T! or at both the CDE and the VSE CD Schooling Event.
There is no entry fee for the Happ's Challenge. |
