Penny Nicely lives in Minden, Nevada with her husband Jim, semi-retired Morgan mare Ginger and Brady the barn cat who thinks he also owns the house. Penny is a Registered TD for Combined Driving with both the ADS and USEF and has officiated at events across the country. Currently she serves on several ADS committees and is a former member of the ADS Board and the USEF Technical Driving Committee.

In her other life, Penny teaches geology and geoscience at Western Nevada College - Douglas Campus. Teaching both traditional and online classes can be a bit of a challenge, but it is definitely rewarding. In those spare hours (often described as between midnight and 4AM) she likes to garden and read. The garden produces enough to provide veggies through most of the winter (after freezing and canning) and there are usually at least two, if not three, books "in progress" at any one time.
